CAMA ONTARIO “The Future of the Automotive Industry & the Agricultural Opportunities” Today’s automotive industry is changing at a rapid pace and there is no denying there will continue to be a strong link between automotive engineering and the agriculture industry, either through new ways of building cars, or new ways of fueling them. CAMA is pleased to announce the presenter for this seminar is Ross MacKenzie, Managing Director for WatCAR, the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Automotive Research. WatCAR is a world-class automotive research centre at the University of Waterloo focused on promoting and conducting leading-edge studies to enhance innovation and competiveness of the automotive sector. More than 50 of Canada’s leading automotive researchers are undertaking technology enabling research in partnership with automotive manufacturers, parts and materials suppliers, and government agencies. One area of particular interest to the agriculture industry is BioCar, and joint initiative between researchers at University of Waterloo, University of Guelph, University of Windsor and University of Toronto to find new ways of producing automotive materials and parts using composites agricultural products such as corn and wheat.
