Marketing Manager (Priority Search)
Are you a visionary marketing professional with a zeal for strategically positioning new products to the target market with a clearly focused concept?  Do you have a lifelong passion for agriculture or horticulture?  Are you adept at identifying what trends are occurring in the agricultural or horticultural marketplace and what influences purchasing decisions?  Is successful branding, advertising and marketing more of a science than an art to you? Are you at ease delivering marketing messages to both small and large groups?  If so, we are hiring just such a professional as Marketing Manager to lead all the marketing endeavors of both current and new products to the agricultural OEM and Dealer Markets.   

The Marketing Manager will join a global industry leader in the manufacturing, marketing and sale of market-leading agricultural products.  This newly created position will be located in the heart of America’s farm belt.
 
If these job responsibilities are exciting to you and fit your background:

  • Responsible for developing & managing all internal and external marketing strategies and tactics including product management, ecommerce, corporate branding, trade and consumer advertising and public relations.
  • Establish a new product launch action plan to include availability, pricing, product dimensions, etc. in all sources of information to OEMs, dealers and replacement/aftermarket channels.
  • Strategic product management/planning/development process using long term product planning.
  • Implement operational functions relating to product launches
  • Implement Dealer Development Program by working with the Sales Department to determine the best way to engage the dealers in improving sales.  Categorize dealers and develop and implement a strategy to work with all levels.
  • Work with Marketing Communications to develop required product communications needed for internal and external customers
  • Conduct market research for pricing by utilizing information from dealers, sales and other relevant sources
  • Enhance, set benchmarks and improve the Dealer training classes.  Expand the “in the field” education classes at Dealers, taking the training to the dealer and farmer.
  • Measure success of marketing programs against defined goals and make recommendations for adjustments to improve results.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience of Marketing Management (Mandatory)
  • Agricultural or Horticultural Experience (Mandatory)
  • Product Launch experience (Mandatory)
  • Direct management experience of Brand, Product, Advertising or Marketing professionals. (Mandatory)
  • Bachelors degree (Mandatory), MBA desired
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, including Sales, Research & Development, Production, Accounting and Supply Chain desired
  • Knowledge of Agricultural or Horticultural planting applications or equipment desired
  • Experience with pricing, promotions and product development to agricultural or horticultural markets desired
  • Knowledge of Advertising Agencies desired
  • Expertise of MS Office Software including Power Point and Excel
  • Excellent 360 Degree communication skills – listening, verbal and written.
