Cornhusker Chapter will tour Midwest Labs in Omaha on October 23rd, from 8:00-10:00 am. We are moving our meeting to the morning to see their operation in full effect. Midwest Labs started as a soil testing facility and has grown to offer a broad spectrum of capabilities within the realms of Agriculture, Environment, Feed, Food and Fuel. NAMA Member Brent Pohlman, Marketing Director of Midwest Labs, will lead the tour. Watch for more details.
November 27th, from 3:00-5:00 pm, the Cornhusker Chapter will meet at RFD-TV's Corporate Offices and discuss how to more effectively market our products at Trade Shows. We all attend trade shows - how can we draw in more customers and more wisely use our time at these very important events? We will hear from Janet Denison of Vision Exhibits and a representative from Renze Display. Watch for more details.
Tuesday, January 22nd, from 3:00-5:00 pm, the Cornhusker Chapter will meet at the Farm Credit Services Offices in Omaha (pending). A young producer’s panel (30-40 years old) will address several questions. How did they get into the business or how long did they have to wait? What are some of the issues they have to deal with on a daily basis? What types of media do they watch, read or listen to daily? What influences some of their major buying decisions on the farm? How do they deal with the way things have always been done and how they would like to do things someday? Watch for more details.
Tuesday, February 26th, from 3:00-5:00 pm in Lincoln, the Cornhusker Chapter will meet at Farm Bureau Insurance (pending) and talk about all things dealing with Social Media. We will have a panel discussion with representatives from two local Web/Social Media Agencies IRiDiAN Group & Intertwine Interactive, along with Valmont’s manager of Internet and Portal Technologies. We will ask them questions on how social media fits into their marketing plans? What is your company policy on it? Are you blogging and how does that affect your Social Media platforms? How can social media can affect your SEO? How are you increasing your customers’ and employee engagement with social media? We will hear from local and regional social media experts. Hayneedle is an online retail company based in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.
