National Presidents Charge Patty Travis, 5MetaCom, National NAMA President
Welcome to Leading the Way, the resource book for NAMA chapter leaders. It has been said that an organization can be measured by its leaders. I’m pleased to say that NAMA is a great organization because it has GREAT leaders. Thank you for your willingness to serve NAMA as a chapter leader this year. NAMA has seen many changes in the past year and so has our industry. Whether it’s technology changes from slide presentations to PowerPoint, typewriters for correspondence to blackberries, traditional gene breeding to biotechnology, or fence lines marking tractor paths to GPS technology, we’ve seen a lot. As we move through 2008, the NAMA executive committee plans to take past learnings and focus on – increased involvement of members on all levels; new programming ideas; and re-energizing the chapters. With these things in motion, we’ll be setting the foundation for the future of NAMA. NAMA today isn’t the same as yesterday but we can be even stronger in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact the NAMA office at (913) 491-6500 if you have any questions, suggestions or need for help. Once again, thank you for your service to NAMA as a chapter leader. We appreciate your interest and commitment to make NAMA better for every member. Sincerely, |
