Your event is over! Breathe a sigh of relief and pat yourself on the back. And then start reaching out again. Follow up engagement from the event is crucial. Make prospective members feel special by letting them know you appreciate that they took time to attend the event and by getting their feedback. Ways to engage potential members after the event:
Call or email to thank them for coming to the event. Ask if they have any questions or need information.
Invite someone to lunch, especially if you learned they share an interest or have a similar role. Begin building relationships.
If there is a handout or presentation from the event that can be shared, email it out and share a couple of other resources they could have access to through NAMA.
Send a personal email or make a phone call to invite people to other NAMA and chapter events.
If you did not have attendees fill out surveys at the event, then email one out soon afterwards. Review the feedback and use it to plan an even better event in the future. Thank those who responded (if it is not anonymous).
