NAMA Scholarships
NAMA awards scholarships to student members, on behalf of the NAMA Foundation, based on students’ leadership abilities and academic records. The number of scholarships is determined every year by the funds available, as well as the number and quality of the applicants. In 2020, $15,500 in scholarships were awarded.
The R.C. Ferguson/Successful Farming Scholarship was established to honor longtime student chapter promoter R.C. “Fergie” Ferguson. Ferguson retired from Successful Farming after 41 years of service. This is a $4,000 scholarship and may only be awarded to a junior.
Missouri-Kansas NAMA and Iowa NAMA sponsored scholarships last year. Each was a $1,000 scholarship to a qualifying student from one of their sponsored schools.
The Wayne Bollum Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Bollum, agricultural publisher, sales and marketing professional and strong supporter of NAMA. He was active in the industry until his passing in Spring 2013. The $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to a qualified college junior who is a member of a National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) student chapter and is majoring in animal science, agricultural communications or agricultural economics/agricultural business (depending on university definition of field of study).

The Steve Vandeberg Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Steve, Director of Endectocide Marketing at Merial and past NAMA Marketer of the Year. The $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to someone who is a member of a National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) student chapter and is majoring in animal science.
1. Judging is by the NAMA Foundation Board.
2. Applicant must be a member of an accredited Student NAMA chapter.
3. Applicant must be a freshman, sophomore or junior underclassman. Seniors graduating in May or graduate students are not eligible.
4. All applicants must be a full-time student and have a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
5. The monetary award must be used during the following school year at a NAMA-accredited school.
